The Roost is purpose-built student residence that’s so much more than just a place to stay. Born out of a need for safe, convenient and affordable student accommodation, The Roost is a new breed of student living in Cape Town.
Built for the aspirations of millennial globetrotters, The Roost blends boutique hotel, student res and your favourite local watering holes. We’re really into showing you a good time, keeping you safe and creating a sense of togetherness with compact, well-equipped rooms, stylish communal spaces and amenities you’ll love.

Our common room is a large open space for our residents and their visitors to enjoy our Roost hospitality. Kick back in front of the TV, stock up on your favourite snacks or enjoy the view on our wrap around balcony.

Supporting young people in higher education starts with a home-like environment where they live in comfort, and have a safe place to learn and grow. For some of our students, attending a tertiary institution will be the first time they are living away from home, which is why our residential life programme offers a range of events so students can meet new people, make friends, have on-site support, learn invaluable skills and ultimately thrive in their studies.
